What type of work is happening:
Planned construction is taking place on Lakeshore West for future, frequent service and to replace and upgrade the existing Etobicoke Creek bridge. A portion of the tracks will be closed to complete the crane installation so that remaining scheduled work can proceed as planned and in time for the upcoming track closures. Assembly of the crane will continue at Etobicoke Creek crossing followed by testing and commissioning during these closures. The goal is to replace the more than 100-year-old bridge structure this winter. This work is critical to maintaining safe and reliable service on Lakeshore West to serve our community today and future generations.
