Barrie line customers: On April 18 and 19, there will be no GO Transit service between Downsview Park GO and Union Station as we carry out important construction to support the future addition of a second track.
Saturday, April 18 and Sunday, April 19
GO Trains will run as regularly scheduled between Allandale Waterfront and Downsview Park GO.
If you are travelling between Downsview Park GO and Union Station, please consider these TTC options:
If you’re travelling to Downsview Park GO, from Union Station; take TTC Line 1 north.
If you’re travelling to Union Station, from Downsview Park GO; take TTC Line 1 south.
How to pay for your trip:
To ensure you are charged the correct fare, please tap your PRESTO, credit or debit card at every point of your journey:
- Before boarding a train, tap on at the station.
- When exiting the train, tap off at your destination station.
- If you are transferring to a bus, tap on when you board and tap off when you exit.
This helps ensure your fare is calculated accurately throughout your trip.
Connecting between GO and TTC?
Save with One Fare. One Fare applies when you pay your fare with a physical PRESTO card, PRESTO in Mobile Wallet, or with a contactless credit or debit card. It does not apply for cash fare or ticket products. You must use the same card throughout your entire trip.
Regular service resumes Monday, April 20.

Metrolinx is transforming GO Transit to bring more frequent two-way, all-day service to the Barrie Line seven days a week, so you won't need a schedule because you know the next train will be coming soon. To support the future addition of a second track, key areas of the corridor along the Barrie Line are being expanded.

To keep these plans on track, we sometimes work overnight and on weekends, building and updating rail infrastructure, renovating GO stations, building new train platforms and more. Learn more about GO Expansion.
We aim to provide you with plenty of notice when we need to adjust service for construction activity. Please plan your trip in advance.
